1. Bobbi Bruesch, President – Trustee Area 2
Ms. Bobbi Bruesch has been a pillar of the Garvey School District since 2002, and her extensive experience as a former teacher has truly enriched our educational programs. From initiating innovative award-winning programs, such as the district-wide outdoor education experience and the National Science Olympiad, to being instrumental in the passage of three school bonds, her dedication to education is undeniable. Her leadership in partnering with key players to establish parks, wellness programs, and after-school activities has made a lasting impact on our students.

2. Paul Duran, Vice President – Trustee Area 5

As Vice President of Programs for the Garvey Council PTA and a devoted father of three children in the district, Paul’s leadership and advocacy have greatly enriched the experiences of our students.

3. Andrew J. Yam, Clerk – Trustee Area 1

As the youngest City Commissioner appointed to the Monterey Park Library Board of Trustees, his lifelong commitment to community service and his pursuit of a Master of Public Policy degree exemplify his dedication to enhancing education. Mr. Yam’s involvement brings an innovative approach to how we can better serve our students.

4. Maureen Chin, Board Member – Trustee Area 4

5. Ronald Trabanino, Board Member – Trustee Area 3

His instrumental role in developing the Duff Language Magnet Academy has greatly contributed to expanding educational opportunities and preparing our students for a global future.
